Vinegarroon Wildlife - Texas Hunting Trips

he Vinegarroon Ranches Cover over 37,000 acres in Val Verde County. All hunts are full service with meals, lodging, guides, and transportation provided. Vinegarroon hunts are geared to the outdoor sportsman that likes the challenge of hunting a mature whitetail buck in his natural range.

Our southwest Texas ranches have a deer density of 1 deer to 12 acres and a buck to doe ratio of 1 buck to 2 doe. A buck to approximately 500 acres will be harvested and the necessary doe to keep our herd in balance. Our ranches are under a year round feed and management program that is focused on quality. We had 90% hunter success in 2001, and bucks taken averaged 10.4 points and 5.7 years old.

We have nice and comfortable lodges and our cooks serve up some of the best ranch cooking around. Vinegarroon Wildlife's goal is for each customer to experience a successful and memorable hunt. This goal is supported by our dedicated guides and cooks.

We also offer some of the best dove and spring turkey hunting around. Spring turkey hunts are 3 day full service hunts allowing 2 gobblers per man. Dove hunts are 2 day full service hunts on grain fields or stock tanks in south and southwest Texas. In the fall of '00 a combination dove and fishing or dove hunt and golf outing will be offered.

Our Guides will hunt several different ways for Trophy Whitetail. They will either have you sit stands or tripods, walk draws, or rattle horns for you. They will choose the best method for the conditions and time of year. You and your guide will hunt 1000's of acres each day exclusive to you and your guide.

Prices for 2003 Hunts

We would like to provide you with the prices for our hunts for the 2003 season. These prices include meals, lodging, guide, and transportation on the ranch. Besides your hunting gear you will need to bring your bed roll, pillow and towel. A deposit of one half the price of the hunt is due to book your hunt date and the balance is due by Nov. 1, 2003. All deposits are non-refundable after June 1, 2003 and deposits are non-transferable. Below you will find our 2003 prices.
