  os Vivaros Guide Services has over 25 years experience with goose and duck hunting. The hunting camp is approximately 2 ˝ hours from Los Angeles and/or San Diego in the small town of Niland. We operate on 2000 acres of prime waterfowl inhabited land in the Pacific Flyway. The properties are allocated throughout the Imperial Valley and are located between Wister Wildlife National Refuge and the Salton Sea.
Los Vivaros Guide Services is dedicated to year round management of it's properties. During the off season, many hours are spent on the upgrading each blind to meet the highest standard that every hunter demands. Along with this tedious task, every pond is carefully groomed and weeded before the planting and flooding takes place. This alone insures that food is maintained throughout the year for waterfowl, thus leaving the flocks no other choice but to enter our properties to feed. Over the years, we recognized that other hunting properties nearby have only maintained feed for only part of the season leaving us the premier hunting camp of the Imperial Valley.
A regular hunting day consists of congregating at the hunting camp at approximately 4:30 am. From there each hunter is designated and escorted to their blind. You may either hunt until you reach your bag limit or hunt until shooting time has closed. We strive to meet the hunters need and hope to show you the hunt of a lifetime.
 On each hunting pond, we have designated 2 man pit blinds with roll tops to ensure the hunter has the advantage when the flocks begin to fly in. Decoy spreads are located on every pond for the extra advantage as well. (you may bring your own decoys as well) All blinds are very easy to access. There is no walking through water or marshy areas. All dikes are clean, dry, and very well packed to ensure your ease and safety to the blind. You can expect to see a number of species such as, pintail, mallard, teal, canvasback, gadwall, redheads, bluebill, and most species of diver ducks. Snow geese, Ross geese, Canada geese, and occasionally speckle-belly geese make up the habitat as well.
For the goose hunter, we have cropped fields with pit blinds (5-8 man) located in designated areas where prime goose habitat has been created. We have fields with a spread of over 5000 decoys per field for the extra advantage.
For the hunter who prefers a guide; all retrievals are done by the guides and/or their dogs. The only thing you must bring is your camouflage hunting gear, guns, and ammunition.
We have the capabilities to hunt up to 70 people on our properties. Blind and property sub-leasing for large parties can be arranged. Please call for more information.

Ducks
- Shooting time is ˝ hour before sunrise and sunset
- Southern California....... October 16, 2000 - January 23, 2001
Daily Bag and Possession Limits:
- Daily Bag Limit…..7 ducks
Makeup:
- Up to seven Mallards but no more than one female
- One pintail
- One canvasback
- Two redheads of either sex
- Possession Limit……double the daily bag limit
Geese
- Southern California……..October 18, 2000 - January 18, 2001
Daily Bag Limit and Possession Limits:
- Daily Bag Limit...5
- 3 may be white
- 2 may be dark, but only one cackling goose
Possession Limit:
- 8 in possession
- 6 may be white, 2 may be dark

We do not specialize in accommodations but can help you make arrangements at local hotels located just minutes from the hunting camp. We do have a few small trailers for overnight stay at no extra charge. These are only on a first come first serve basis.
