this review is for a bsa contender rifle scope that i bought from cabelas. i mounted this on a remington 710, in 270 win. and this is the best scope i have ever had. i dont know how it is on magnum rifles with all that recoil. but my 270 with my hand loads generates almost 25ft lbs. of recoil, and that is a lot, the average hunter is uncomforatble shooting anything more than 15 ft lbs of recoil. so i think it does just well. the scope never even bounces off a hair. it hits the same spot every time. i actually perfer this than my leupold varix 3. if you want info on rifle recoil you can goo to http://www.chuckhawks.com/recoil_table.htm that will tell you the recoil of just about every caliber
