| " patience does pay off.I sat in the same spot for 13 1/2 hours before this beauty gobbled for the first time for me to hear him. Then he gobbled a second time and he cut the distance in half. Then I seen him hauling the mail across the field coming right for my CarryLite dekes just pausing about 10 ft.behind my jake to fan then proceded to confront the jake face to face. When he stuck his face in the jakes face I let him receive a swarm of #5's and he fell over on top of the deke.He was harvested at 7:45 PM. It was all over and done in 10 minutes since I first heard his gobble.
Got to love it when they come running! Tony...a.k.a..(StrutnSpur) |
