Story:
was hunting on zone 461 last week, on Thursday 04/20/2000, it was about 40 F and raining,.
Just after sunrise I started calling, I have about 3 tom gobble back.
About 20 minutes after sunrise they stop gobbling. I walked really quite around a clover field
and into the trees, when I lock up, I counted 9 turkeys in trees, it was
raining an the win blowing at about 10 mph,
The turkeys have there backs to the win expect for one hen, I crawled for about 25 yards into
the Woods, and I waited for about 5 minutes, then I called, a tom with 4 hens jump from the
tree at about 45 yards from me I didn't have a clear shoot two of hens were in front of him. About 30 seconds later another
Tom came down from his tree, about 40 yards from me, I shoot and kill him, 21lbs 2oz 9" bearded
24mm S.
