Comments: I was fox hunting with my remington bolt action .243
with a ten power simmons scope. I was using federal 68 grain hollow points. I saw a fox sleeping along a fence line parallel to the road I was standing on. I whistled at it and it stood up. my range finder said it was 317 yards out. I chambered a round and sighted in on it. My first shot went right over its ear, but he didnt move. I chambered
a new round and let'er fly. Needless to say, I didnt bother retrieving that fox. through my scope I could see that the fox was nearly split in half from a Broadside chest shot!
