  • Comments: I had this problem when I went Racoon hunting in the state of Maine. Some of the areas where I hunt, the pines were so thick trying to reach the coon meant crawling on my stomach, and the rifle would snag on every branch there was. So I took a S&W 622 and added a Weaver rail to the underlug, and attached a Lazer Dot Sight to the Rail " Waala" the perfect Racoon pistol. One shot one kill. The reason write today is in the hope that other manufactures read this information. I thing this is one of the first private utilitarian uses of a lazer sight which I hope takes it out of the "toy" stage. The problem is that no manufacturer of handguns and no manufacturer of lazer sights cuts their barrels or sight bases to the standard scope dove tails found on rifles. Which is another great reason to cut the lazer sight to the right dovetail. Thank you for giving me the forum to kinda sound off to the arms and sight industry.
