  • Review:
At the beginning of each Turkey call review I do, I'm going to make the following disclaimer: I understand that how much one likes a particular Turkey call may be a very subjective thing - what I aim to do in this review is to tell how I liked or disliked the call.

The good news on this call is that it does a great Peacock and Pileated Woodpecker imitation. The Coyote part is less impressive, but is a decent imitation of the real thing. The bad news on this call is that of all the times I have used it to try to elicit a "shock gobble" from a turkey, not once have I ever succeeded. I have tried it a number of times when I knew turkeys were roosted in the area, and I simply could not get one to gobble with any of the 3 animal sounds from this call. I would then put this call down and break out an owl or crow call and light those roosted birds up and make them gobble hard. The Triple Shock is plenty loud, in fact it is extremely loud. I can't say what your success would be with this call, but I'm going to stick with my owl, crow and better coyote howler locator calls. This call won't be in my vest this Spring.

Pros: Good volume, imitations of Peacock, Woodpecker
Cons: No luck in getting turkeys to gobble to this call
