At the beginning of each Turkey call review I do, I'm going to make the following disclaimer: I understand that how much one likes a particular Turkey call may be a very subjective thing - what I aim to do in this review is to tell how I liked or disliked the call.

This may be a decent duck call, but a good Owl Hoot imitation it is not. I have several different Owl Hoot calls and this one doesn't sound very much at all like any owl I've ever heard. Whether or not it will make a turkey gobble I don't know - I didn't take it out with me to the field. I was afraid any tom that heard this call would break out laughing. I'm serious, it's that far from sounding like an owl. I tried blowing it every which way, including "with little air", which is what Crossland Calls says it takes to produce realistic sounds with this call. If my call didn't have a sticker that says "Owl Hoot" on it, I would think it got put in the wrong package.

The only good thing about this call in my opinion is that it's pretty stout. Oh yeah, one more thing - you might be able to locate some ducks with it.

    Pros: Sturdy
Cons: Sounds awful, not like an owl
