At the beginning of each Turkey call review I do, I'm going to make the following disclaimer: I understand that how much one likes a particular Turkey call may be a very subjective thing - what I aim to do in this review is to tell how I liked or disliked the call.

    Raspy Rio
The Raspy Rio diaphragm makes some really good sounds and can really put out the volume. It was a pleasure cutting with this call, it made nice clean breaks in between cutts/notes with no problem. It is not an easy call to get sound from, so probably it would be more suited to someone who already has a fair amount of experience with mouth calls.

    Heavy Hen
The Heavy Hen is another one not easy to get sound from, but, like the Raspy Rio, does put out some really nice sounds and volume as well once you get the hang of it. It's sounds are not quite as "brash" as the Raspy Rio, but are just as loud. This call is definitely more suited for "distance" work than in-close stuff.

    Diamond III
I liked the Diamond III the least of these 3 calls from Crossland, personally. Like the other 2, it was a challenge to do much "soft" work with it, but unlike the other 2, it was not able to put out as much volume. I felt that it was definitely the most "raspy" of the 3.

I'll have all 3 of these calls in my mouth call pouch this Spring, but will probably use the Raspy Rio and the Heavy Hen more than the Diamond III.

    Pros: Good quality sounds, volume
Cons: Not easy to blow, tough to make "soft" sounds
