First pair of Rocky Boots I used for approximately five years in mesquite brush, rocky, and cacti terrains. Boots' uppers worked fine on preventing punctures due to mesquite and cactus thorns. Then the soles began to crumble. Wrote Rocky Boots and they sent me a copy of their warranty policy for boots. Purchased two more pair of Rocky Corn Stalkers. The second pair's soles began to crumble 4 years later while they were stored away after only two years of use. The other pair, which were still new in box, their soles turned to a material with a mushy tar like consistency. Really got me, when I opened the box containing the new pair of corn stalkers and saw what had happened to the soles especially after reading the Rocky info tags saying that these boots were of the most advanced design. If these boots had a proven long last sole, I would be happy with them.
