My son and I have two 835's that we bought to turkey hunt with. They are an EXCELLENT Turkey gun, the oversize bore produces the tightest and most consistent pattern of any gun we have tried. Remington,Benelli,Winchester. The last two years we have gone to Texas Goose hunting and tried to use 3 1\2 steel shot, well it don't work! Both guns hung up on all 3 1\2 shells. 2 3\4 and 3 inch shells worked fine. I use 3 inch shells to turkey hunt with and don't have a problem, but the 3 1\2 turkey shells I tried hang up about half the time.
