Mine is in 300 Rem SAUM. In general this is a classic remake of the Remington 600. A good carbine, but with enough barrel(22") and weight to handle the short mag. Well constructed, with a very nice laminated stock, and model 7 action. Easy to handle and she packs a lot of punch. The sights are unique, and may take a bit of getting use to. But it is a fine short action "guide" rifle
