I top my 17/HRM with a Leupold VX-2 Scope 3-9x 40mm we have shot 40 sea otters 20yd to 80yd and 5 Coyotes 90yd to 130yd to date 1/16/05 all have been head shot and I still have 5 shots left! I have never seen a small caliber hit as hard as the 17 dose in my 34 years of hunting.I find bullets fragments from the head shots in the necks where they meet the body. I shoot groups of 5 shots at 100yd with a rest 1/2 or less with winds 5 to 10.PS:If you think this 17 is a kids toy you are ((sadly wrong!)) Well this kid at 44 years old is going to buy 1 more for his wife...!
