Benelli's top of the line shotgun shoots well is light easy to handle but has several bugs that might make waiting for a bit worthwhile. The gun was tested with shells ranging from 2 3/4 target loads to 3 1/2 steel load and all seemed to cycle well. Performance was good and the action worked well with no jams. Benelli suggests using heavy rounds with a four box break in cycle. Quality issues were apparent with a very stiff saftey that Benelli will repair free of charge but it requires sending the trigger assembly to Benelli. The choke wrench supplied may not fit the full choke tube which is surprising that this slipped past qc inspectors. Complaints hev been noted in finish of the camo models and choke tube marking have been noted to be difficult to read .All in all a good gun that may have been pushed through production too quickly and not well thought out which is surprising since Benelli values its reputation to such a high degree. Better value may be found in a SBE or Franchi. The comfortTech system is the one saving grace for this gun with noted improvements over earlier models in felt recoil.
