We hunt on 13,000 acres of private land in and around the Minneapolis, Kansas area. We are located about 25 miles north of Salina, Kansas off of interstate I-135. We hunt in units 7 and 8 on private land in Ottawa, Cloud, and Saline counties. We have over 300 ladder stands, 38 box blinds, and lots of ground blinds in wood-lots along river and creek bottoms, with crops weaving in and out of these bottoms.

These hunts include accommodations in our new lodge with all the comforts of home. It has 4 bathrooms, 3 fully furnished kitchens, separate bedrooms, and a processing room with freezers and a walk in cooler to take care of your meat. You shoot it and we take care of the rest! Just bring your own food and hunting gear. All the linens and bedding are furnished. Transportation can be provided if needed. We have extra 4 wheel drive trucks here for hunters to use if necessary. We will drop you off and pick you up from the stand locations if needed as well. I feel strongly that our success is due to the fact that I’m very serious about wind direction. We go over stand location and wind direction twice a day with each hunter on a one on one basis. This is done so that I know what the hunter is seeing on the farm each time he sets. We then make a plan to get the hunter in a stand with the correct wind for each hunt. We may move the hunter as well to a new farm depending on his information and his feelings toward the deer movement that he has seen.
THE SEASON DATES FOR 2014 ARE AS FOLLOWS:
Muzzle Loader - Sept. 15 to Sept. 28
Bow - Sept. 15 to Dec. 31
Rifle - Dec. 3 to Dec. 14
These are all 5 day hunts with the exception of Muzzle Loader season hunts which are 6 day hunts. The 2015 dates are very similar but they are not yet posted. You must apply for non-resident tags during the month of April, these cost $347.00. You must also have a hunting license which can be purchased any time throughout the year over the counter or online. They cost around $75.00. Everyone must apply for a tag if they want to hunt in Kansas before teh last Sat. in April. Kansas has changed the tag system we do not have landowner tags any more.
PHEASANT, QUAIL AND TURKEY HUNT PRICES FOR 2014:
Turkey hunts are 3 days, all birds are Rio Grande, cost is $1000.00. You can harvest two birds. The pheasant and quail hunts are $350.00 per day, per gun for groups of three or less and $325.00 per gun, per day for groups of 4 or more. Pheasant and quail hunts include accommodations at our lodge, lunch at a local restaurant, dogs, guide and all transportation.
If you miss the draw there might be some left over tags. There is no guarantee how many tags there will be but if you are interested I will help you get one, it is very simple. They usually only last a short time and are gone by August every year so it’s best to apply in April.
