Hunting whitetails in northern Maine is not for everyone. If you must see a lot of deer and if being successful is the measure of a good hunt, then it may not be your cup of tea. But if you enjoy real hunting in big country, where you will have the woods to yourself, and the opportunity to hunt for a real bruiser of a whitetail buck, give it a try. The Libby family has been in the sporting camp business in Maine for over 100 years and finer people you will never meet. They have beautiful log camps on a remote lake and treat everyone like family. I go every year and about every third or fourth trip, I take a truly good buck in the 200 plus pound range and the racks are always nice and heavy. Good luck if you go!
