Overall Impression: Spectacular

The day before the hunt, Lee my guide and I watched elk for four hours as they made their presence in a small open meadow. We saw four 6x6 bulls one of which was huge. The first morning, I harvested a good 6x6. My first elk. The following morning Lee and I tried to stalk the huge 6x6 we saw the day before the hunt and we found him. HE WAS HUGE. Too bad I harvested the first morning or the big guy would have been down. I booked again next year and hope to make this a yearly hunt with Lee and Baba. There are some big bulls on the Rio Costilla.
