Overall Impression: FAIR TO GOOD

The biggest problem we had was that the rut was over and by the time we got there the stands were overhunted. Our guide was a first year guide that doesnt hunt. I was very dissapointed with that to say the least. They have 400-500 square miles to outfit in but they use too little of it. When I go back to Sask., I will not go any later than thanksgiving. We went the week after and the deer werent moving. I saw some of the deer shot the week before and there were some bruisers but by the time our hunt started things shut down. We had 6 people in our camp and we all got bucks but 3 of them werent very big. Two of my buddies got nice bucks, a 135 class and a 125 class. One guy from Louisiana got a dandy 9pt with a droptine. I want to go back to Sask. someday, but proboblay not here because if I pay that kind of money, I expect to get an experienced guide. Lorne has good guides that put their hunters on good bucks, but mine did not.
