Overall Impression: A Great Experience

I took my college-age son to hunt quail and pheasant at Broughton Plantation just after Thanksgiving 1999. While this is a released-bird operation, the quality of Broughton's game is excellent; the birds flush well and fly fast!Jim Babcock, manager and guide, works his dogs with true artistry. He is also very good with young people--takes the time to teach and assist, rather than just walk the fields.Broughton is located near Newborn, GA, only about an hour east of Atlanta, and they have a beautiful new lodge that embodies all the charm of Old South quail hunting.Broughton Plantation also offers quality-managed deer hunts, although I have not hunted deer on their property.If you are looking for a superior quail and pheasant hunt, book a few days with Broughton Plantation!
