Every hunter in camp took at least one bear. I took two bears over 6 feet squared. Plenty of wolves near our hunting area, but no shot. Our outfitter has an area of approximately 80 miles by 80 miles with no other hunters or outfitters present. This is typical of how hunting is in Alberta. The good outfitters get huge areas to hunt with no competition from other outfitters or hunters. I saw a total of 9 bears during 5 hunting days. If you really like to hunt black bears you have to get to Alberta at least once, especially if you've wasted your time on one or more Ontario bear hunts. I will be going back soon.
