Overall Impression: Impressed

Hunted with Crooked Creek Outfitters the last week of October, 1999. This was my first paid, out of state hunt, so I wasn\'t sure what to expect. I simply wanted an opportunity at a fine Illinois whitetail. Bud Edlin and Crooked Creek offered that and then some. Though I wasn\'t successful during my hunt (Neither were the 12 others in camp that week - the weather was terrible!), the number of deer we saw and their average size was impressive. Bud has some great farms lined up and the trophy potential is incredible. Several of us saw at least one P&Y buck during our hunts, and one hunter had a Booner just out of bow range. The accomodations were comfortable and the atmostphere very friendly. Every one could hunt as hard or as easy as they wanted -- Crooked Creek will accomodate whatever style you prefer. One thing\'s for sure - you won\'t go hungry. The food was great and there was plenty of it. I\'m looking forward to going back next year.
