These guys work hard. I booked a hunt with them after doing some research and talking to Tim and references. I paid extra for a 1-on-1 hunt so my 10 year-old son could tag along. BE IN SHAPE. I had Conner pushing us up and down the mountains for the first 3 days of the hunt. The first afternoon we tracked right up to a bedded cow elk at 15 yards or so. Bumped another group about half a mile down the trail later, but never saw them. Saw a few mule deer during the hunt that were to small and several elk to far away. We were there for Thanksgiving week in 2008. Incredibly tough and thick country. Be advised that this is a public land hunt. We bumped into other hunters on 2 separate occasions and you also have to deal with the occasional road hunter. The animals are there, but weather and hunting pressure play a huge factor in that country. It was not as cold as we were hoping and there was not enough snow in lower elevations. These guys took great care of my son while we were there as well.
