I have gone to Cherokee Run five times in the last seven years. It is a great place to go if you are looking to get away and hunt in a typical low country setting. There is much wildlife to see and there is much sign to indicate that boar frequent the area. I have shot two in my five visits. One was real nice. I go with the same gang each time and we love it. The stands are good and the locations vary, so you are never in the same stand two days in a row. If you prefer to be in two stands each day, that works as well. Two things are for sure on a REAL hunt, you can't control the weather and you can't control the game showing up at the right time. This is true here. Boar roam and cover large tracks of land, as do the ones here. Tom is very honest and has his guests interests in high regards. He realizes that everybody wants to score a big boar. Some that do not, get angry. That is their problem, and not the hosts fault. That is unless it is a penned/guarantee hunt, and I have no interest in that. Give Tom a call and set it up, you will enjoy yourself.
