Hills guide is an old outfitter that veteran colorado elk guide Mark Sullivent and his wife Jeanette have been operating on the grand mesa-I booked a cabin self guided hunt and Mark spent more than a fair amount of time helping me get oriented w/the area--we got into elk the first afternoon on the mountain---loads of mature bear sign,a number of mule deer,kicked 3 moose out of their bed--We got in a group of around 10 elk on the second morning of hunt--shots at cows and 1 very large bull who was in range,but obscured by the cover---that day I told Mark he was off the hook,because you cant do better than that,to feel the scream of those bulls so up close--so I say I hope Mark and Jeanette live forever and I never die!
