My hunt at the Oxbow Lodge, Oxbow Maine, was 9-15 September, 2007. The entire experience could be put forward as a quide for all outfitters everywhere to follow. Even the inexperienced hunter can take Pope & Young Bear, Moose or Whitetail if you simply listen to the guides and do what they tell you to do. The accomodations were warm and quite comfortable, accomodating twenty hunters without using all the space available. The food was so good and plentiful you may need to diet when your hunt ends. Oxbow has exclusuve rights to so much land that stand hunting or spot & stalk can be done without fear of crossing paths with anyone. Game recovery and handling is quick and thorough and you will go home with all the meat you desire and a well prepared trophy. If you want a super-quality hunt for Bear, Moose or Whitetail you do yourself a dis-service by not calling them. The price is very good and blows away the competition for value of "goods" recieved.
