Hunted deer here very late in 2006; unseasonably warm. Saw no bucks although other hunters did (one missed what he said was a very nice buck). Guides went out of their way to ensure my son took his first deer, a good sized doe. Saw does every day, so if you're looking to get your son or daughter their first deer, this is a good place. Would probably try the rut in November for a better chance at a buck, but this is not a canned hunt and sometimes you see horns and sometimes you don't. Food was great homestyle southern cooking - but were on our night of arrival. Other hunters were good company - no excessive drinking or issues with campmates; so good place to take a youngster.
