My buddy and I Bow hunted in 11/07. I wont say that the hunting property isnt good because I know and can see from pictures that the bottoms has very good deer I just didnt see many the 5 days I hunted. I saw three decent 125-135 Class Bucks all the others were smaller 1-1/2 old deer. But to be fair the weather was a little warm. The new lodge that was promised upon booking to be completed was not and we didnt find this out until the day we arrived. We ended up staying at a nasty hotel and had to eat in a greasy restuarant. We were on our own for lunch and breakfast and had to use our own vehicles to drive to the meeting location every morning. Was told be there every morning at a certian time each morning but just sat in the driveway for 1/2 hour waiting for the guides to get ready. My guide got me to my stand after day light the first morning, and was very close to light one other day. All 12 hunters hunted the same piece of land, although it was a large chunk of land, there is no need to shove all 12 hunters on it when he had 5,000 acres in other locations. Guides themselves got lost walking hunters to the stands. We were told that we would hunt the same stand for 3 full days (which I was fine with) but was told he then would keep that stand empty for at least one week so it wouldn't get over hunted (which also is good) but the stand I hunted the first 3 days was hunted the very next day by another hunter???? which makes me wonder if a hunter was in it the day before I arrived. Jeff does not return phone calls or E-mails and the business is very poorly run..it is a shame because He has some good deer. I would love to hunt the land again but personally would never book with The Bottoms again. One other thing, ironically the only 2 deer shot that week were shot by 2 guys from knight & hale game calls.....wonder why????
