April 7th, 2007 - North Texas and the Bluebonnets are blooming, trees are budding out and the weather changes! Nothing like 37 degrees and snow to get you in the mood to go hunting, we just didn't expect it here in April. These Armenian Mouflon are one of the wariest animals I've seen. I think they had eyes in the back of their head and were talikng to the other animals about where we were hiding. Spent a hard day & 1/2 of hunting and with some outstanding planning by our guide (Don Wade), we finally got a shot at huge Armenian Mouflon. He scored 318.1 and is a potential new record for archery in the TGR record book. He's a beautifull Ram and will get a Lifesize mount. Don worked extremely hard to get me a chance at this RAM and his expertise is greatly appreciated. Great guides, great food, and awesome people to hunt with.
