We saw very few Caribou. A total of 12 in 5 days. We ended up with 3 small bulls and 6 cows for 8 hunters. Owner made promises when booking that did not live up to hype. He promised to move us if there were no Caribou, that didn't happen. We later found out he was a small operation that didn't own his owns planes. This meant he flew us to the closest camp because it cost him the fewest dollars. Obviously he didn't have the capitol to move us. The guides were well seasoned and friendly, however they were at the mercy of where the owner put them. The cook was very good. We never went hungry. We were told it was a seven day hunt, however we only hunted five days. The flight out of Montreal was delayed so we had to spend the night in Schefferville. The owner did put us up in a house he owned in town, but we were responsible for our own food. We were also told that the fishing was world class. We were told to bring our old tackle because these fish bite anything. We caught 5 fish in 5 days between all 8 of us. All these fish were caught off the dock. Several hours were spent fishing in the boat with no fish at all. I would recommend chosing a reputable guide service with their planes.
