Sammy and Pat knew every square foot of the mountain, getting us into elk everyday. Not having hunting off of horses before I was worried about it. I rode Half Moon all week and he provided me with a comfortable and safe ride even when it was pitch dark. I got a nice 6x6 on the 4th day when Pat cow called it past me. It was a tough hunt,weather was horrible with snow, rain and high winds almost every day. If you can draw a 76 tag, Sammy is the guy to go with.
