I booked my hunt with MWTO at a show in NC. I was told it was a fully guided all inclusive hunt. I was told I would be the only one to hunt my stand when I got there. When we arrived we had to fix all of our meals except for supper and even that was terrible. We had to drive ourselves to our stand. My stand had been hunted so much that there was a mud trail leading to it. I shot a 9 point buck with distinctive points from 10 yards. It was raining so we had to track him right away. He tried bedding down three times so I knew he would bleed out soon. He finally crossed a property line and I was told we could not follow. I entered a doe pool while there and was told by the guide at my camp that I won. When I left a message about the doe pool with the head guide he never returned my calls for 5 months. I didn't receive the money until I confronted him at the 2006 hunting show where he wrote me a personal check for my winnings. I inquired about my buck and he said they looked but never found it. 6 months later I saw a very similar looking deer pictured on the web site being held by the guide, not the person who shot it. Though I have no proof I feel that it is my deer pictured on the web site. You don't forget a deer with distinctive points like his from 10 yards. Considering what I was told the hunt would be like and how it actually turned out I was so dis-satisfied that I left 2 days early. It was apparent to me that they were more interested in making money and getting people through than providing a quality hunt.
