I just returned from a five day hunt with Tom Ware of Bucks Beware Outfiiters. This was one of the best guided hunts I have been on in the past ten years. Very few outfitters know their deer like Tom and his guides. In a non-rut week when temperatures reached all time highs, out of six hunters, two had shots at 140-class or better deer. I was one of the two. Unfortunately,I was unable to retrieve my deer after trailing solid blood for over 400 yds. Looking back, my shot selection should have been better and I am miserable for it. Tom and his guides worked hard to help track this deer and were very patient about the situation. The stand sites were awesome in both location and condition. The food was excellent, the lodge was perfect and the most important part- the attitude of the staff- was second to none. I will be back next year!!!
