We take 4 - 6 paid trips each year for deer including at least 1 with our sons. This year we decided to go someplace we could drive and be in the middle between myself in PA nad my buddies in MS, we choose SC and Hidden Valley Whitetails Club. Poor choice. Heard all summer when talked to them about the number of deer they have and how the boys would see tons of bucks. South Carolina has no limit on the amount of deer you can shoot, season from August 15 to Jan 15.Hunting over corn 6 hunters saw 7 deer in our 3 day hunt. It was not as were told by any stretch. We were told we would have our own "lodge", since we had 9 people, 3 fathers didn't hunt only the kids. No such luck. It was just not a good hunt and our group will not go back.They do have plenty of Turkeys though and might be a good turkey operation. They are also fairly nice people. BTW 2 of our guys left 2 days early after not seeing anything after 3 sittings. Yes it is hunting and you don't always get what you are hunting for, however this is being sold as deer all over the place and no limit because they have to many deer. Well, this morning in PA there were 7 deer on my front lawn and I had to chuckle after driving 12 hours to see 1 deer in 6 sittings. All 3 kids shot deer including my sons spike buck, again, we are still dissatisfied and will not return, killing game does not a good hunt make!! Beware
