Chris Burns is a thief who has 80 acres of his own to hunt and pretends to have more. We booked an "exclusive" private land hunt, 800 acres for 7 hunters, with baited stands. After waiting all day for Chris, we were lead to a parcel of property that turned out to be 150 acres and after hunting a half day, we were kicked out because he didn't have permission to hunt there. After a wasted day, we were placed on a second parcel, 200 acres with one stand and spent 2 days setting up stands so we could salvage some kind of hunt. Hunting in Ontario is totally unrestricted and there are an unbelievable number of fly by night operations hunting crown land in competition with 10,000 unguided non-resident hunters. We were regularly offered blinds by other outfitters who we met on the road or in town for $100/day and everyone of the blinds was flanked by other hunters or totally inactive. I would avoid hunting the Dryden area until th province enacts some type of requirements for their outfitters. This hunt was booked thru McClain Outdoor Adventures under the name "Monster Bucks in Ontario", more like a monster rip off.
