Overall Impression: A great adventure

This is a true wilderness pack-in hunt. The country is very rugged (Scapegoat Wilderness). You really should be in good physical shape for this hunt. I was there for the first week of the second rifle season. The weather was unseasonably warm and I believe effected game movement but we still seen some deer & elk most days, including a trophy mule deer and a few nice bulls. I was fortunate enough to take a beautiful 6x6 bull elk.
