Overall Impression: Not very good

Overall,I was not impressed. When I arrived, I had a hard time finding Alan, and had to wait 20 minutes for him. I can understand that he was busy. But when I finally got to speak with him, he wasn't the most cordial. The lodge was very dirty, not at all like what was shown on their website. I ended up staying at another place, aprox. 10-15 min. away from the lodge. Before I went out on the first afternoon, I was talking to some other hunters, and they said they watched as more hogs were trailered in the night before. And when I went to the enclosure (1100 acres I was told), I noticed their was nothing for the hogs to eat. I asked my guide what they ate, and his reply was "gutpiles". This place does not require blaze orange, and it is an accident waiting to happen. Their are quite a few other hunters in the enclosure, shooting animals all around you. And most of them are wearing cammo, so it is hard to spot one another. I was glad I brought a Blaze hat to wear. My guide did do an excellent job for me. We hunted for a little over two hours and I took a boar the first afternoon. A boar that had been castrated. Not pen raised huh? Could have fooled me. I left the next morning after my boar had been processed. I saw aprox. 20 different hogs, but most of them were pretty small. All and all, I was not very impressed with this operation. It seems to me, that the only thing that matters around their is money, not the customer. I will chalk this up as a learning experience and move on.
