Overall Impression: Terrible

The country is just beautiful, but this hunt is pretty much a $6,500.00 scam. Mr. Sebring stated that we would be hunting on private land and that he had personally scouted several large herds one week before our arrival. Don't believe it. First of all the entire hunt was on public land, which can be accessed for half the cost. Secondly, the guides encouraged us - on more than one occassion - to hunt the near-by indian reservation. Though tempting, doing so is highly illegal and did not come close to falling within our definition of a "fair chase hunt". Instead we spent three embarrassing days figuring out that the guides did not know what they were doing (the one I was with smelled like pancake surup and ate crackers the whole time). We finally ventured off on our own to scout, track and bugle. Two of us had shooting opportunities the night before we had to leave. The animals are there, you just have to spend the time finding where they travel. Although four of us (out of six hunters) could be considered experienced, we saw a total of four small bulls the entire 5 day week.Save your money. Hunt with someone else, or take your wife on a fancy cruise.
