Magnum Outfitting is an exclusive whitetail hunting opportunity. We hunted early rut, second week Nov 2004. I shot a 140BC weighing in near 300 and my hunt partner shot a 170BC weighing close to 400 lbs. We saw a lot of deer each day. The cold days were the best.On arrival to the accommodations, (a quick 3 hour ride from Regina airport) I was pleased to see we were the only hunters booked for that week. We had 100% attention and time of the guide the entire week. I later learned the guide prefers smaller groups of 2-3 hunters per week. We had participation in all aspects and activities related to our hunt if we choose. We saw our stands, woods, deer activity/sign prior to the first day of hunting. We were asked numerous times during the week if we where happy and comfortable w/ stands, accommodations, etc. If we had special needs, they were met. The guide checked on us in the bush (w/ small hand held radio equipment) each day around Noon. This safety precaution was very important to me being from the south.Upon deer harvest our guide handle the animal transport, cleaning, butchering, and later caping/packaging for the flight home.If Canadian Whitails are your thing, give Magnum Outfitting and Darrell Chmil an opportunity.
