The season starts August 15 and runs until Jan. It is the longest season in the country. The plantation hosts 15-20 hunters a weekend which results in pressure, pressure, pressure. The deer go completely nocturnal and your lucky to see a buck. I hunted for 26 hours over a 3 1/2 day timeframe and saw 3 doe. Very dissapointing. If you decide to go, hunt the first two weeks or make sure you hit the rut exactly as it unfolds.
