This is not a fancy hunt. Having said that the accomadations were a large comfortable two room cabin for a hunting camp. The area has a 6pt minimum. On the first day of the hunt I most likely could have harvested a moderately sized 6x5. My goal was a large 6x6 so I did not shoot. Saw two 5X5s & a large 6x6 during remainder of the hunt. When moving in close on the 6x6 we could not locate bull in moderately heavy cover. The area has heavy cover & if bulls are not actively responding to bugles/cow calls as they were not for the most part, the hunt is difficult. The guide worked extremely hard all week trying to locate the quality elk I was looking for. In this we were successful. This is a small outfitter with a huge territory. The outfitter & employees treat every hunter like they are family. Despite the fact that I did not harvest an elk I would go back. If any one is interested in harvesting a large 6Pt elk in a wilderness setting I would reccomend this outfitter.
