Mike White is everything you want in an outfitter/guide for black bear over bait. There's not an aspect of this hunt he doesn't have down. He only allows 6 hunters per YEAR for black bear and treats every single one as special clients. As far as bears, his quantity and quality is second to none. I personally saw 19 bear (one an 8 footer) in the 5 days I hunted (took second bear on 5th night and didn't go out 6th night). My hunting partner saw same amount. Between the 2 of us we harvested 3 bears. Both of my bears were cinnamon - one squaring 6'6" the other 6'10" and my partner shot a P&Y black that squared 7"1". Unfortunately, my partner put a good shot on his second bear (a blonde) but after tracking for many hours, bear was lost in a swamp. He's the best skinner I've ever seen and makes sure your bear hide(s) is well preserved for trip home. Accomodations are great - you stay in his home and feel every bit a guest every minute you are there. Food is great - like eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner at home every night without having to do the dishes!If you're looking for a top notch guide with personalized service unmatched, Mike White is your guide.
