I have just come back from a late season (rifle) elk hunt. My outfitter, Jeryl Williams was honest with me about the quantity, quality of game and shooting opportunities. If a man is honest then he is probably also a hard worker and takes pride in doing a good job. He probably hires guides who exhibit these qualities also. Jeryl Williams lives by these principles. My guide, Jeff, also exhibited these traits. He knew where the elk were and got me there each and every outing. His decision making and skill at stalking to get me close enough was superlative. I got a small bull (my first) on the second morning and my biggest white tail ever (20 inches inside)that same afternoon while Jeff was getting my elk off the mountain. I saw several muy grande mule deer but the season had just ended and my tag was only good for a whitetail. The Big Horn sheep that I saw every day are plentiful and within easy access if one is lucky enough for the tag.
