Self-guided bull elk hunt in Northern Utah in early October. I am familiar with the ranch as I hunted mule deer there two years ago on a guided hunt. I would recomend that guided deer hunt as well. Got my 5X5 bull opening morning. Two other bulls bugling within a quarter mile. Saw a big 6X6, a 5X6, and two other 5X5 bulls taken that day and next. Several other bulls taken that I did not see. This ranch is 22,000acres and the outfitter has access to several other ranchs in the area. Cal claims exculsive use of ranch, but it was not hard to notice that the ranch owner lets others in. Still, did not feel crowded. We camped on the ranch in our travel trailer, and one of Cal's employees ran all the way out from Salt Lake City (60miles) to deliver some books that were mailed to his office for my wife. Above and beyond the call of duty. I will definately go back.
