Overall Impression: Hell of a GOOD TIME

I hunted with Lee and Baba on the Rio Costilla Park and was I impressed with the overall beauty of the ranch terrain. Spring time is cold and snow was still prevalent, but that didn't stop us from hunting. First evening out we called and heard several toms but only two appeared within 25 and 35 yards from set-up. I fired on the closest bird. I was so excited being the first turkey I killed and Baba was too busy pointing out the other bird who made a bee-line straight for us. I couldn't get the other bird, most due to my excitement of harvesting the first. I had an excellent time with both Lee and Baba. If you've ever wanted to meet to nicer guys, it's these two. They worked their butt's off to help me get a bird. I was satisfied with one bird and spend the rest of my time riding the mountains with them and watching the large herds of elk who live on the ranch. Give them call and tell them dirty harry told you so.
