Hunted some with this guide previous year on moose hunt. He tries to overcome poor scouting & prep work before the hunt by walking a lot looking for animals. He knows the area in general, but was busy building a house and didn't get ready to hunt this past year. Didn't have any trespass permissions with land owners prior to hunt. He was calling landowners or stopping by their houses throughout the hunt to ask permission.All the animals seen were 2000 yds +. Never had a single opportunity for any legal animal much less the trophy quality I was hunting for.Accomodations were the only high point of hunt staying in a bed & breakfast owned by outfitter's parents. Nice people and his mother is excellent cook. Would make a great trip for sightseeing or snowmobiling, but wouldn't go on another hunt with this guide.
