I have hunted with Eric twice, 1999, 2001 and I am planning on going back 2003.Both trips I killed very nice mule deer and had opportunities at trophy elk. A good friend of mine killed a beautiful non-typical mule deer in 1999 and another friend killed a very good 4x4 Mule deer that year to go along with mine. My father killed a 6x6 elk in 2001, to go along with my second 4x4 mule deer.The 2001 trip was marred with very poor weather conditions, or else we probably would have seen more game. The one clear day we had I killed a Mule deer and saw several other deer and Elk. If not for hunter error (mine) I would have harvested a beautiful elk after tracking it through the snow for the better part of a day.Eric runs a tight ship and his guides are extremely hard working and do everything in their power to put you on game.Keep in mind this is a public land hunt in very difficult terrain. You need to be in good physical condition. The shots can be long range so you also need to be prepared for that.There are no guarantees for a trophy, but in my opinion you can count on this outfitter giving you maximum effort, and they will hunt as long and as hard as you are able. It is also my experience that the guides have an intimate knowledge of land they hunt, and spend the off season scouting and preparing.You also hunt in some of the most beautiful country in the world.For my money, this outfitter is tough to beat.Oh yeah - the food and camp are great too.
