I hunted with Walter in about 1995. His outfit was called the "Black Bear Outpost Camps" back then. I have noticed that he has changed the name of his operation several times since then, probably to avoid negative feedback from unsatisfied customers. I posted on several threads on the "Bowsite" over the past few years,,,, warning people about Walter and his operation. Countless others also posted on threads there, the vast majority all expressing negative experiences with Walter. Walter was extremely rude and blamed everything negative on the hunters. He had 20-25 hunters in camp;;; And I think 3 bears were seen and taken. Those poor guys had to tend to their own bears in the heat of mid-day surrounded by bees,,,,, After Walter decided not to skin and butcher them for the guys. Walter fired the camp cook half way through the week,,,, Blamed that one on the cook. Walter had a young college kid from Canada running baits for him. The kid told me that he had never even seen a bear !!! Walter is a miserable person;;; And I would never recommend him to anyone...... His wife Mary Lou was more pleasant than him and helped with running baits too......... Spend your hard earned money elsewhere !!!!
