Overall Impression: waste of money

We were told by louis that the area we would be hunting had been scouted and active natural licks were located and that stands were in place were moose, deer, and bears were plentiful and would be seen all day long. we were also incourged to come at the begining of the month (sept) becasue of the moose coming to these licks, instead of waiting later in the month when it would have been easier locating moose through calls during the rut. when we arrived we met louis and his guides. louis then left to return to his home 5 hours away. He said to host other hunters. i believe he might have left becasue of the lies and terrible hunting situation that he left us and his guides in. The guides that were sent had never hunted the area and arrived that day before we did, so there was not scouting done in the area. so our trip turned into a 7 day scouting trip. The guides that were with us did a great job and i recommend them for working as hard as they did with us in trying to find moose. if we had come later during the rut the trip might have been different but we were given this time slot under the premise that everything would be fine. another problem we had was the native indians were coming out of the woods as we were going in by 3 and 4 truck loads. They would be hunting all night long and taking any animal they wanted. This is something a outfitter should know about his area and louis did not. This outfiiter is in it for the money and that is it. i have called him and emailed him since our trip and have not gotten any response. please please do not use alberta wilderness adventures or northen lights adventures out of worsley alberta.
