I took my second bear hunt in the Selway area with Lochsa River Outfitters during May of 2001. I accompanied the hunter who purchased a donated hunt at the MDF banquet in September. We both were able to harvest good bear. Mine squared 6'10" and had nearly a 20 inch skull, dark black hide, and probably weighed close to 375 pounds.I book hunters to the outfitters through my office at Steve's Outdoor Adventures. They have over 65 years and three family generations of experienece guiding not only bear hunters but back country elk and deer hunts.
